Bush Appointee to chair FDA Reproductive Health repeatedly abused his wife

(Thanks to Left in the West for the story.)

Over the past few years a right-wing evangelical doctor by the name of Dr. W. David Hager (a prominent obstetrician-gynecologist and Bush Administration appointee to the Advisory Committee for Reproductive Health Drugs in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)) has been gaining political points and power from President Bush and his cohorts. One might assume that a doctor specializing in women's reproductive health would care about women. Nope. Throughout his marriage to Linda Davis, he financially, emotionally and sexually abused her, sodomizing her and taking advantage of even a medical problem. This is the man who Bush wants controlling and advising each woman's body in the this country! How can we stand for this?!

The Nation article "Dr. Hager's Family Values" by Ayelish McGarvey gives all the details.

Let's act and do something! Let's try to keep abuse out of sanctioned government condoned behavior! (I believe that every powerful abusive man who is held up as an example, as Hager is, praises and endorses such abuse.)

Your sister thriver activist,
Leah
