Teacher Routinely and Repeatedly Abuses Students

This morning's New York Times includes a chilling and disturbing story. A teacher in Xinji, China, has been routinely and repeatedly raping his students. More than 26 of them have been raped, some more than once. Horrors. A few courageous students told and he was caught.

Fortunately, it seems that the girls are being believed. I say fortunately, because it is all to common that such stories are deemed lies. Of course, the very occurrence of such abuse is disgusting and troubling.

You can read all the details at the New York Times story, titled Rape in China: A 3-Month-Long Nightmare for 26 Schoolgirls.

I wish all those girls (and all who are abused) courage, hope and healing.
Your sister thriver,
Leah
