Happy Thanksgiving to you.
This can be a difficult day for survivors because of the foucs on family. For those of us who have dysfunctional and dangerous families of origin, this day can bring up not only bad memories but stress and pressure to play back into the family disfunction.
Today while my family of origin celebrates thanksgiving (I assume), I will be sharing dinner with my grandmother, aunt and friends. No family B*#($%&()&* and the blessings of friends and good food and good times.
I hope that you are able to find a place of acceptance, quiet and safety to celelbrate Thanksgiving.
