Jewish Women International recently released the latest version of its newsletter Domestic Abuse in the Jewish Community, Core Communication for the Jewish DV Movement and it includes a number of interesting articles which are worth reading. I would especially like to highlight two of them:
Some Facts on Sexual Violence in Israel From The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel by Hilla Kerner-Soliman (ARCCI's director).
and
JWI Needs Assessment released.
I am pleased to see activism in the Jewish community on issues of sexual violence and I applaud the work of JWI in this area. That being said, I would like to see more acknowlegement of the reality that child sexual abuse occurs often in homes where there is domestic (or intimate partner) violence.
