A nice story about a celebrity

My friend E, who lives on the Upper East Side of New York, is fighting stage 4 cancer. Thank God, she is doing alright, keeping her spirits up and handling the chemo pretty well. A few weeks ago she was at a pharmacy filling her husband's many complicated prescriptions and became completely overwhelmed. She sat down and was in tears. Soon a woman came up to her and asked her what was going on and what she could do to help. This woman listened, gave a friendly hug, and said "please don't hesitate to call if there is anything I can do" and handed E a business card. The name on the card only said "Katie." When E's turn came with the pharmacist, she said do you know who that was? That was Katie Couric. E wasn't then a watcher of the Today show and had no idea who she was. A few days ago she saw Katie again in the neighborhood, and again she said hello and asked how E was doing. Genuine, sweet and caring. Nice to know that a big celebrity care so much about a stranger.

Just thought I'd share E's story.
Your sister thriver,
Leah
