Hello. I accidetly found a neat feature for one of Mac OSX.4 (a.k.a Tiger)'s features - dashboard. If you press "shift" plus your activtor key for dashboard (default is F12), dashboard will slowly descend from the top of your screen. You can have dashboard do the reverse as well when you are ready to leave dashboard.
